I get bad lag spikes on my xbox 360 too but it is mainly controlled by the connections of the people you are playing with. On some games, if one person has a bad connection, everyone lags.

Bad lag spikes on Xbox Live games online?
I have a D-Link N-band Wireless router and the new Xbox 360 with an in-built wireless N-Band receiver, yet when i host games for people, they get massive lag spikes and eventually lag out. I never had this problem before but now i cant seem to fix it. Any suggestions?Bad lag spikes on Xbox Live games online?
