Can original Xbox live games work on the Xbox 360 live?

I have Guilty Gear X2 for the original Xbox which has the xbox live function. I was wondering if I could play this game on my 360 and use the xbox live function on that as well?Can original Xbox live games work on the Xbox 360 live?
Xbox Live support for original Xbox games was taken down back in April. That game is on the backwards compatible list so it will play on your 360 if you have a hard drive. Just connect to Live and start it up. It will download the update and then sign you out of Live since you can't use any of the Live functions while playing it.Can original Xbox live games work on the Xbox 360 live?
